Persuasive Speeches

Grade 5 is currently researching and writing a one to three minute persuasive speech.  Students have chosen a topic of interest to themselves and then have to attempt to persuade the audience to their point of view.

Wednesday February 4 is the last day that students have to research, draft and practice their speeches.

In-class performances of the speeches will take place on Thursday and Friday of this week.

It is hoped that those who are most successful with their speeches will go on to perform in front of the entire school and then, perhaps, at the Regional Speech Arts competition.
